Well, it’s been a long time coming, but welcome to the new site. It’s a work in progress, and it’s taken what seems like forever to get it to this stage, but we’re here, it’s launched and we’re still awesome (modest too). T1 has slowly but surely evolved over the years (all 2 of them) into this slightly more streamline look we’ve got going here. The idea behind it is to make the most common uses easier to access, so at the top you’ll find our nice home icon and a direct link to the magazine. The menu is simplified to the most common stuff, and the Featured articles are all of our special stuff which we just can’t cram into the mag.
I am the numpty behind the design, with a little help from Robbgeek we’ve got this site together for you all and we do want to hear your feedback! It’s a beta design and we intend to improve things, adding more and more functionality as we go along!
It’s a terrible first blog post, un-interesting and self promoting, but if you’ve read this far, I’m going to assume you’re going to carry on reading. The original T1 website re-vamp was actually planned way back in summer of 2009, and we intended to launch under a multi-site platform, unfortunately for them, and fortunately for us, we were a little bigger than the sites they were used to dealing with and they couldn’t cater for us. So we decided to go it alone, brand new server, brand new content, brand new everything!
We’ve included a forum for you all, which will integrate with the posts on the site, so any comments appear in the forum thread and vice versa. We’re giving you nice shiny buttons to tell everyone about our new articles and it would be great if you could use them. Let’s grow T1 into the independent gaming community, just gamers, talking about games and having a laugh. As always we’re going to keep our usual crude sense of humour and give attention to the big and the little games equally.
So keep the love, in fact, share the love, tell everyone you know about us, join our facebook fan page, and follow us on twitter.
