After helping out the residents of Northshire Abbey, it was time for me to wonder out into the wider world. It was time to head out to Elwynn Forest.

The first person I have to report to is naturally the local marshal, Marshal Dughan.  After talking to him and a few of the other locals in the area I have a few things to be getting on with it. Main thing I learn is that those damn Kobols, that I thought I had dealt with in Northshire, were actually just the tip of the iceberg.

These little buggers are everywhere in Elwynn, but the first lot I am tasked with sorting out is the bunch that have taken over The Fargodeep Mine. The locals don’t want them in there and have a whole pile of stuff they need from within the mine itself.

So given my marching order, I set out with Belyal for a bit of mindless bloodshed.

When I return from killing a half of that mines Kobol population and taking a whole pile of the candles they love so much, I come back to the surface to a bit of a shock.

The Faire is in town!!

For those who are not are not residents of the world of Azeroth, the game has a travelling Faire known as the Darkmoon Faire. It appears at regular intervals in both Elwynn Forest & Mulgore, but I had no idea it was due. However this is not the time for fun, I will have to check it out next time it stops.

After a quick chat with the locals again it seems that there is a second group of Kobol at a different mine that need to be handled.  These ugly little blighters sure do love those mines, but I suppose if I looked like that I’d want to hide in a dark place as well.

While over in the area around that mine I fine a few more people in need of my services. A guard that wants me to look for his lost colleagues,  a small loggers camp that wants me to cut the local wolf & bear population, the usual basically.

The first of these does not turn out so well, suffice to say the reason he couldn’t find his friends is because they have snuffed it. The first one it seemed had been a victim of the wolves that the lumberjacks where complaining about. In memory of the fallen guard I instantly set to work avenging him.

But where was his partner?
