After helping out the residents of Northshire Abbey, it was time for me to wonder out into the wider world. It was time to head out to Elwynn Forest.
The first person I have to report to is naturally the local marshal, Marshal Dughan. After talking to him and a few of the other locals in the area I have a few things to be getting on with it. Main thing I learn is that those damn Kobols, that I thought I had dealt with in Northshire, were actually just the tip of the iceberg.
These little buggers are everywhere in Elwynn, but the first lot I am tasked with sorting out is the bunch that have taken over The Fargodeep Mine. The locals don’t want them in there and have a whole pile of stuff they need from within the mine itself.
So given my marching order, I set out with Belyal for a bit of mindless bloodshed.

Creaky Corpse Ltd, previously known as Jagged Blade Games, has launched the first demo of their upcoming 3D Zombie MMORPG.
Currently a 2D game, Dead Frontier (www.deadfrontier.com), the #1 free-to-play Zombie MMORPG, is being upgraded to 3D and this first demo represents a major milestone in the development process. The demo is currently only available to Dead Frontier Gold Member subscribers but a version for all players is expected in early July 2010.
Dead Frontier combines 3rd person survival horror action with more traditional role-playing elements to create a totally unique MMO experience. Players will need to have their wits about them as they struggle for survival in the decaying, zombie infested city of Fairview. Will you stay in the relative safety of the last remaining human outpost, or attempt to create your own hideout in the depths of the city? The choice is yours. (more…)

Last month, we gave you the opportunity to send in your questions for Icarus Studios, developers of post-apocalyptic MMO, Fallen Earth.
Being busy people, developers usually only manage to answer a selection of the questions sent to them. But not the Icarus team – they managed the whole collection!
Senior Game Designer, Marie Croall, was the legend that took the time to accomplish this feat. Here is what she had to say:
Chad: Where do you see the world of Fallen Earth at in a year’s time? Will we still be scrounging around in the Grand Canyon, or do we get to visit neighbouring states with different environments and weather?
MARIE: There is a lot of territory left to explore in the Grand Canyon and several major storylines we could focus on, but if we have the opportunity to do something better in a different location, then that’s definitely something we will look into. (more…)

Razer have always made brilliant gaming equipment, Blizzard have always made brilliant games. It was only a matter of time before they joined forces.
While I’m not one of those gamers who spends hours researching the best mouse, keyboard and headset, when Razer announced late last year that they were going to be doing a set of StarCraft II based hardware – I was interested!
Until recently they had been keeping the exact details of this hardware under wraps, but yesterday they finally broke cover with details and pictures of the upcoming equipment.
On a personal level, I have to admit that I like the angular style they have gone with for these – they fit extremely well with the look of Terran forces that Wings of Liberty focuses on. Another feature that interests me is the APM (Actions Per Minute) Lighting System, which will change the colour of the LED lights based on the activity, or even set events, in the game.
So for example: you could set the mouse to flash green when a unit’s production is completed, which will allow you to know when your reinforcements are ready, even if you’re in the heat of battle at the other side of the map.
Check out the specs and pictures after the jump

What started out as a rumour leaked by the Italian media has become set in stone; the New Xbox 360 has arrived and it’s the dog’s bollocks (good).
Microsofts new console, dubbed “The New Xbox 360″ features built in wireless, a 250Gb hdd and a special “kinect” port. For those of you unaware, Kinect is the official name for project Natal, Microsoft’s answer to the Wii. The new console features a slick gloss black finish with touch sensitive buttons and a massive noise reduction. (more…)

The 100% free-to-read June issue of Thirteen1 gaming magazine is now available, sporting a brand new design and packed with top gaming features!
T1’s slick, new-look, which is now fully social-media integrated, boasts more interactive screenshots and videos than you can shake a stick at.
Even the DrunkenGamer has had a facelift, not that it’s prevented him from jumping around the world of games with a Guinness in one hand, pad in the other. This month sees him finally review Frogster’s latest Runes of Magic content, The Elder Kingdoms, as well as get the opportunity to go hands-on with single-player campaign for Blizzard’s hugely anticipated StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty.
Of course, it just wouldn’t be the DrunkenGamer if there wasn’t any destruction, so he got behind the wheel of Disney’s explosive arcade-racer, Split/Second, and caused yet more mayhem in his very own version of Mafia MMO, Omerta.
Everyone is understandably going World Cup crazy at the moment – and who can blame them! Thirteen1 have well and truly caught the fever this year, with a World Cup special covering both EA’s 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, and Ubisoft’s Pure Football. Definitely one to check out if you’re still having trouble deciding on the perfect football game for your post-match parties.
