Nintendo have confirmed new names and release dates for the 3DS’ two flagship Mario titles.
Traditional platformer Super Mario will now be known as Super Mario 3D Land and will land on UK shelves in November. The new title harks back to the original Super Mario Land series on Game Boy, the first title of which has been released on the 3DS eShop.
Meanwhile Mario Kart 3DS has become Mario Kart 7 and will be released in December. It is the first numbered entry in the long-running series. (more…)

Simply Marvel-lous.
Zen Studio’s are known as the masters of the pinball gaming scene. Yeah, it’s a niche, but it’s also a fun one that they know like the back of their hand. Their latest offering is no exception. Four initial tables are included, Spiderman, Wolverine, Iron Man and Blade. Yeah. Blade. However, two additional tables, Fantastic Four and Captain America, are available as DLC.
Each table gives the player the chance to battle against the most notorious villains from each of the comics. These boss battles are unlocked in differing ways on each table, from hitting certain bumpers, shooting ramps in a certain order to many other more complex requirements. (more…)

Iceberg Interactive and Just A Game join forces to bring Nuclear Dawn to PC and MAC players in major European markets.
Videogames publisher Iceberg Interactive and online computer and videogames publisher Just A Game are pleased to announce that they have come to an agreement to bring InterWave Studios’ Nuclear Dawn to retailers across Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Scandinavia and the Benelux in October of 2011.
Nuclear Dawn, to be released on PC and MAC platforms, is the first game to offer a full FPS and RTS experience, within a single gameplay model, without crippling or diluting either side of the game. (more…)

Latest Cursed Crusade trailer reveals players will harness awesome powers and enter the realms of hell as they strive to avoid damnation.
Mastertronic, the UK’s leading independent publisher of computer and video games, today released the latest trailer for upcoming title The Cursed Crusade. The new trailer reveals the Curse which affects central character Denz de Bayle and his companion Esteban. (more…)

After creating quite a stir upon its unveiling last week, the Limited Edition Star Wars Xbox 360 console has been given a £349.99 RRP in the UK.
The highest price Xbox 360 hardware available on the High Street right now is the £299.99 250GB Kinect bundle, though this can typically be found for anything up to £40 cheaper than RRP.
Other SKUs include the vanilla 4GB console (£150), the 250GB standalone (£200) and the 4GB Kinect version (£250). (more…)

Update to Offer New PvP Feature: The Lamento System.
It’s time to give the poor monsters a rest! Players have been honing their combat skills on the beasts from Uld for long enough. Soon they will have the chance to hack’n’slash something else – each other!
The Mythos update to be released shortly will offer a change of pace from the usual dungeon crawling. In addition to the new ‘Dungeon Master’ feature and raising the level cap from 50 to 51, it will also introduce the ‘Lamento’ PvP system. Players will then be able to kick the crap out of each other in exciting arena battles. (more…)

It was confirmed at Comic-Con, that the latest Spiderman game will be released on October 4th.
Spidey will be swinging his way onto PS3, Xbox, Wii and 3DS in the latest Marvel game.
Spider-Man: Edge of Time will task players with saving the life of Peter Parker in the modern-day Spider-Man universe in order to prevent an errant timeline from creating a bleak, apocalyptic future. The game will feature “cause-and-effect” gameplay, where one Spider-Man action will affect the other Spider-Man’s timeline. (more…)
