Final Trailer for Dead Island Lands

dead-island The highly anticipated zombie survival game, Dead Island, from Techland and Deep Silver, has deployed the final trailer online today.

Dead Island is due for a September 9th release and from this final trailer we get a better glimpse at some of the story and characters that will feature in the final game.

Devistatingly beautiful as the first trailer that aired a few years ago, this title has a lot of anticipation behind it. Hopefully it will deliver.

Revealed today, the “Gears of War 3” Season Pass entitles you to the first four instalments of downloadable content that will roll out over the course of the next year, with the first releasing this November.

Nintendo Announces Limited Edition Version of Zelda: Skyward Sword

gamescom-2011-hands-on-the-legend-of-zelda-skyward-sword-wii-2 The Legend of Zelda was first released on the Nintendo Entertainment System a quarter of a century ago this year, and to help celebrate this occasion Nintendo are releasing a limited edition pre-order bundle for the latest instalment in The Legend of Zelda franchise, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

2011 is the year of Zelda with Nintendo celebrating 25 years since the beginning of the critically-acclaimed franchise.

A limited edition bundle of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword features the game itself, the music CD featuring selected songs from The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony and a golden Wii Remote Plus controller bearing the Hylian Crest.

Hawken Update

hawken-game Adhesive Games’ multiplayer mech game, Hawken, has appeared once more on the radar, releasing a brand new video.

The video explains the story behind Hawken, one of two videos available for the highly anticipated indie game.

The video details some of the story line that Hawken will follow but more importantly gives a glimpse at the gameplay. The mechs will be operated in a first person viewpoint, which will make combat seem more realistic, as you will feel every bump and explosion in your cockpit.

Halo 4 part of the ‘Reclaimer Trilogy’

halo4_symbol_onblack_rgb The ‘Reclaimer Trilogy’ – that’s the name of the three games that will kick off with the arrival of Halo 4 next year, 343 Industries has told an audience at the Halo Fest event.

Eurogamer reports that around 200 developers are currently working on Halo 4 and that work on the game has been underway for two years.

In all around 30 different studios are represented by the current workforce at 343.

The game will place more direct focus on Master Chief, who himself was absent from the most recent release in the series Halo: Reach. (more…)

Funcom Opens Beta Registration for ‘The Secret World’

logo_the_secret_world Funcom today opened the official beta registration for  ‘The Secret World’, the highly anticipated upcoming massively multiplayer online game set in our own, modern-day world.

Gamers can now register to be evaluated for participation in the upcoming phases of beta that will be running up to the launch of the game in April 2012. During the next months Funcom will be increasing the number of beta participants gradually. (more…)
