Rage requires an 8GB PS3 Install, Uses 3 Discs on X-Box 360

images You ready to play id Software’s latest and greatest shooter, Rage?  Well hold on there, because the game won’t be playable when you pull it out of the shrinkwrap on the PlayStation 3 version.

id Software creative director Tim Willits confirmed to Eurogamer’s Digital Foundry that the PS3 version has a mandatory 8 GB install.

Dead Island Movie in the Pipeline

dead-island-logo1 Lionsgate has optioned the film rights for Dead Island, the zombie survival game developed by Deep Silver. The profound impact of the teaser trailer to the game has caused quite a stir, even outside of gaming circles, enough to push the new IP into movie adaptation territory.

“Like the hundreds of journalists and millions of fans who were so passionate and vocal about the Dead Island trailer, we too were awestruck,” said Lionsgate co-COO and motion picture group president Joe Drake. “This is exactly the type of property we’re looking to adapt at Lionsgate – it’s sophisticated, edgy, and a true elevation of a genre that we know and love. It also has built in brand recognition around the world, and franchise potential.”

Rockstar Games Announces L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition Release Date for PC

WoW: Deathwing Raid Instance “Dragon Soul” Detailed

Rift: Ashes of History (Update 1.5) Live Today!

The Ashes of History are upon us! Two sinister dragon cults have joined forces to ravage Telara. The reason for this alliance remains a mystery, but scholars see a connection to dark portents from across the sea.

Nearing it’s October 4, 2011 release date, Dark Souls continues to look excellent in all of the trailers and screenshots. In this latest offering there are some simply horrifying bosses to battle. If other games could soil themselves in fear, they would be at this title. Here is the trailer!

battlefield-3 Battlefield 3 has quickly risen to be one of this years most highly anticipated shooters since the moment it was revealed. Battlefield 3 has been receiving endless amounts of hype and positive feedback with every little thing that has been shown of it so far.

Now that DICE and EA have announced that the open Beta for Battlefield 3 will be coming to PC, Xbox LIVE and Playstation Network on September 29th (27th if you bought the Limited Edition of Medal of Honor or pre-ordered the game on Orgin for the PC)

X-Men Destiny Launch Trailer

1008-x-men-destiny_full_600 Last October Marvel and Activision announced a brand new X-Men title that would be free from a movie tie-in. It has taken 11 months, but we finally have a launch trailer.

A new breed of mutant heroes will invade game consoles this autumn in X-Men: Destiny. The all-new original video game casts players as new mutant recruits in a rich, branching storyline that features a deep element of choice and gives players ultimate control of their destiny.
