Dragon Age multiplayer will let you play as a dragon?

Wednesday, November 30th, 2011

dragon-agetwo2_1842783b Dragon Age will be the latest BioWare series to introduce an online multiplayer component.

That’s according to a Kotaku insider, who told the site the role playing franchise is to feature an arena-based multiplayer affair offering player versus environment and player versus player battles. Dragons will also apparently be playable.
The tipster said they weren’t sure if Dragon Age multiplayer will be released as part of the next core series update, which is expected to be Dragon Age 3, or as a standalone title that could be downloadable.

Dragon Age multiplayer is reportedly being built using DICE’s Frostbite 2 engine, which powered Battlefield 3, and is said to look stunning even in its early form.

Having previously complained at length about the problem, ex-Official PlayStation Magazine editor Tim Clark was initially delighted with the patch, which seemed to offer a vast improvement to gameplay.
