Major complaints have come up recently regarding the Xbox Live service, thanks in part to a rather aggressive phishing scam that has been hitting users.
A recently issued warning from Microsoft acknowledges that the service has indeed been the target of a malicious attack.
According to a statement from the Xbox Live division, a large number of members are actively engaging in phishing attempts to scam personal user information, as well as credit card numbers. Those responsible for the scamming are posing as employees of Xbox Live, and are working to illegally obtain personal information such as user names and passwords. (more…)
