The new features and refinements will be rolled out over the coming weeks as the game prepares for launch later this year.
Featuring recognisable characters from Naruto, One Piece, Dragon Ball and more, Anime Trumps mixes Eastern anime and Western board games to create a unique gameplay experience. With a casual-yet-cerebral style of gameplay, Anime Trumps appeals to anime and game fans alike.
Inspired by iconic card game “BANG!” Anime Trumps pits 4-8 players against eachother as they take on the roles of different anime characters and compete to reach their own unique goal. Each player has a different end-goal to reach according to the role they are designated at the start of the round: Master, Assistant, Betray, or Revolt.
Players get access to more characters as their level increases, with each character boasting their own passive and active skills.
Skill, cunning and perfect timing are undoubtedly the keys to success in Anime Trumps. But the most important thing for players to consider is the role they are assigned at the start of a game round ? a factor that can completely alter the way the game is played.
If assigned as the Master, the player must kill all Betrays and Revolts; an Assistant must protect the Master and kill all Betrays and Revolts; Betrays must kill all other factions themselves ? if the Master dies before they can duel face-to-face, the game is lost; while a player playing as a Revolt must kill the Master to win.
NGames have released 2 new videos showing Anime Trumps in action to help players get better acquainted with the game.

Anime Trumps – Brief Description of Gameplay:
Remember the cards
Anime Trumps boasts tactical gameplay that goes beyond the on-screen action.
There are various type of cards available to players in Anime Trumps, from basic attack and defence, to special equipment and devastating magic cards.
Cards are discarded from the game round after they are used. Keeping a keen eye on the cards already played, and how your opponent chooses to approach to the game, can help players determine which cards their enemies hold, and which cards will be best used against them.
Knowing the right time to play a game-changing card, such as the Planetary Devastation or Giant Sand Burial, can mean the difference between victory or failure.
Anime Trumps is ready for open beta and everybody is welcome to join in with the fun.
