Bethesda have revealed the details of their beta process for The Elder Scrolls Online – invites are to be sent out at the end of this month.
The initial tests will take place in March and April for “smaller groups of focussed testers”. Worry not though, because after that the testing group will increase in size as “AvA tests will likely require thousands of participants, and stress tests will be even larger” – according to the FAQ page.
Initially, tests are planned as weekend events – short periods that will later become a more rigorous and focussed beta, allowing participants to get a feel for level progression. Bethesda also stated that the early tests will focus on specific areas, like PvP or PvE, so acceptance into one scheduled event doesn’t guarantee blanket access to them all.
