About Us
Thirteen1 is an online gaming magazine based in East Yorkshire, United Kingdom. The magazine is mainly run by three gentleman, Dan, Craig and Paddy, however every issue includes features by many contributors, so not all the credit can be given to these guys!
The idea for Thirteen1 came early in 2008 when the three gaming junkies/friends wanted to start their own magazine, so with things to say, games to review, people to harass, arguments to have, and drinking sessions to make up, they set on their venture to bring the first issue, which spawned on the 13th of April. With an immediate possitive reaction, the magazine has rapidly evolved into a high-tasked, time consuming masterpeice.
The idea behind Thirteen1 is to provide great information from the gaming industry taking a more 'hardcore' approach by taking away the polished edge that makes other magazines suitable for all, and talk about the nitty gritty details. The biggest task for Thirteen1 is getting the magazine released on the Thirteenth of every month, at exactly 1pm. However, it's done, and pretty good too. So, to introduce you to the crew behind the Magazine....
Craig!
Craig is the jet setter of the Thirteen1 Posse, being the official promotions manager. He's a rugby nutter and spends his time talking/eating/sleeping the Robins! Don't let his picture fool you either, he is a dark horse, and holds alot of secrets under that hair-do. However, his favorite game is Transport Tycoon... which reflects alot on his daily life.
Dan!
Dan, the Mighty Dan, is the editor of Thirteen1. He pretty much runs the whole Thirteen1 empire, having many private jets, yachts and ladies.
His favorite game is Gears of War, and is often found around Xbox Live. When he's not killing on there, he's kicking butt on Pro Evo. He's a season ticket holder for Hull City and can be found at every home game, without fail. If he's not there, you'll find him out clubbing dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow!
Paddy!
Paddy is the kind of man you cross the road to avoid. He has an intense gaming side to him, that often scares children. And if he's not scaring kids that way, it's with his drunken hijinks from spending WAY too much time down at the pub. His job within Thirteen1 involves writing game reviews, and being the general tech and code monkey with his favorite game being the ravishing World of Warcraft!
