EVE Online: Inferno Launching May 22

eve_online_logo 17th Free Expansion for Subscribers Sounds the Call to War

Building on a unique achievement in gaming history with a 9th anniversary celebrating continuous year-on-year growth earlier this May, CCP Games and its award-winning game EVE Online are nearing release of a 17th free expansion, EVE Online: Inferno, to all subscribers on May 22nd.
More than any other expansion in EVE’s history, Inferno aims to shake up all levels of warfare in the over 7,500 solar systems in EVE’s massive universe. Overhauls of major war-related game systems will affect player-driven conflict and the first set of many new ship modules to come promise to alter tactics at the most visceral levels.

Tomb Raider reboot delayed until 2013

wallpaper-tombraiderunderworld-2 The upcoming Tomb Raider reboot has been delayed until 2013, developer Crystal Dynamics has announced.
Tomb Raider will now launch during the first quarter of 2013 – sometime between January and March next year – instead of this autumn.
Crystal Dyanmics studio boss Darrell Gallagher explained that the extra time will be used to add polish to the game, which tells the tale of a young Lara Croft’s adventuring origins. (more...)

Assassin’s Creed III World Gameplay Premiere

ac3_sc_sp_16_frontier_pistoltomahawk_online Assassin’s Creed III is an upcoming historical action-adventure open world stealth video game being developed and published by Ubisoft. It will be the fifth major installment in the Assassin’s Creed series and the third numbered title in the series. The game is set for release on October 31, 2012. Launch Date For Dishonored

dishonored-logo Bethesda Softworks, a ZeniMax Media company, today announced that Dishonored, the supernatural assassin action game under development at Arkane Studios, will be available in North America on October 9, in Australia on October 11 and throughout Europe on October 12, 2012.

Developed under the direction of co-creative directors Raphael Colantonio and Harvey Smith, Dishonored is slated for release on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation3 computer entertainment system, and Games for Windows.

Dishonored is set in Dunwall, an industrial whaling city where steampunk- inspired technology and otherworldly forces coexist in the shadows. You are Corvo, the once-trusted bodyguard of the beloved Empress who has been murdered. (more…)

Avengers: Battle for Earth announced

jan082166 Ubisoft has announced Avengers: Battle for Earth.

It’s made by Ubisoft Quebec and is due out on Kinect for Xbox 360 and Wii U.
Battle for Earth is a motion control game based on the Secret Invasion comic book storyline, not the recent Marvel film. It revolves around Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk and Thor (sorry Hawkeye and Black Widow), who fight a genetically altered Skrull alien race. Over 20 Marvel characters feature.
The game will launch at some point after Nintendo launches the Wii U, expected in time for Christmas 2012. More information will be announced at the E3 trade show next month. (more…)

Hitman Absolution Will Be Out November 20

ws_hitman-_absolution_2560x1600 The next Hitman game will be out on November 20 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, Square Enix said today in a press release.

There’s also a preorder-exclusive bonus called Hitman: Sniper Challenge, available only if you preorder the game at a GameStop.

Here’s what Square Enix has to say about it:

Developed by IO Interactive A/S, a Square Enix studio, Hitman: Sniper Challenge is not part of the main game, but a stand-alone experience to reward fans who pre-order Hitman: Absolution. Players can don the suit of Agent 47 as he takes on an exclusive assassination assignment. (more…)
