The mod aims to increase Geralt’s responsiveness in combat and the animations have been altered to allow combat to be smoother. As a result battle should be more fluid.

The “Full Combat Rebalance 2” should be released later this week, and below you will see a list of the main changes to The Witcher 2. Even though the overall purpose of the mod is to increase Geralt’s responsiveness and mobility, there have been a few other adjustments in different areas you may be interested in.

But hold those eager horses of yours and restrain your thumb from the X button, as reports from those who have accepted to install this update say it’s bricking their systems. In others words, there is a fault with the new update, reports of consoles locking up on the boot-up screen and the hardware being unresponsive to the power button.

PlayStation Europe tweeted “Hi guys, we’re aware of reports that the recent PS3 update (4.45) has caused. We have temporarily takes 4.45 offline and are investigating.
