DICE core gameplay designer, Alan Kertz, is tweaking and overhauling several of the weapon attachments in Battlefield 3 after posting details of his proposed changes and receiving feedback from the community.
The bipod in particular will be getting some ‘love’, but among the other attachments being tweaked are the foregrip, suppressor, heavy barrel, and flash suppressor. Kertz posted the full change list on Reddit. (more…)
While it is interesting to note that Battlefield 3 is not actually legally available in Iran, the country has seen fit to ensure that the vulnerable youths of the country do not get their hands on the game, notably pirated copies.
It has been reported that members of the ruling Combatant Clergy Association are cracking down on street vendors who are selling the game. (more…)
EA has sent over a new trailer for Battlefield 3’s Back to Karkand expansion pack.
Focusing on the re-imagined Gulf of Oman map, the gameplay movie reveals a number of vehicles you will be able to strap yourself into come December.
The three combat vehicles returning from Battlefield 2 in Back to Karkand are the STOVL fighter jet, desert buggy and one of the armoured personnel carriers. (more…)
Having been threatened with legal action in a US court, EA has decided that it will now offer a free copy of digital shooter Battlefield 1943 to owners of Battlefield 3 on PS3.
Having announced the promotion earlier in the year, the release of Battlefield 3 came and went without trace of the freebie. As is to be expected, this lead to the requisite legal action in the US.
Now, however, the publisher has backtracked once again. European PS3 gamers will be able to claim their game on November 26th, US owners on December 10th and Asian gamers on December 17th. (more…)
Battlefield 3 has quickly risen to be one of this years most highly anticipated shooters since the moment it was revealed. Battlefield 3 has been receiving endless amounts of hype and positive feedback with every little thing that has been shown of it so far.
Now that DICE and EA have announced that the open Beta for Battlefield 3 will be coming to PC, Xbox LIVE and Playstation Network on September 29th (27th if you bought the Limited Edition of Medal of Honor or pre-ordered the game on Orgin for the PC)

As we enter the month of September, the nights get a little darker and the days are a little cooler. Autumn is also a time we start to see the games market heat up.
The contest between Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 will be intense for this back half of 2011, with this being the first of a number of trailers for both games, we can expect to see.
There is a war going on. One that will permeate around the industry come this October and November, and two of the biggest franchises in gaming are about to go head to head.
In one corner rests the challenger, Battlefield 3. A franchise built from the PC and dedicated to this title is hitting at the opponent with a new engine and one of the biggest marketing campaigns in recent memory. In the other corner rests the champion, Modern Warfare 3, a title built on pedigree and two of the most successful entertainment launches of all time.
There is a lot at stake for EA and Activision for this next round in modern shooter titles. Long has Activision stood at the top with Call of Duty, after the release of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the publisher has been pushing out new titles every year looking to keep fans engaged.
With anticipation building for DICE’s new shooter, said to be one of the biggest FPS’ of the year, you’ll definitely be left salivating after you see these new screenshots and video.
Another gameplay video has been released, showcasing some of the astonishing visuals from Battlefield 3. It’s refreshing to see that the new Frostbite 2 engine is going to take things to the next level.
As the explosive finish to the Battlefield 3 Fault Line series draws near, Sgt. Black is tasked with disarming a home-made bomb, leading to first-person melee combat with the bomber and a large-scale firefight in the streets against massive opposition.
