While DrunkenGamer may be the main host of the Drinky Talky Thingy it would be wrong to not acknowledge his co-host Gow. As you can no doubt guess by the title of this episode and the image on the right, he can at times cross a line that makes us wonder if medical help is required.
That said, he probably has to be a little tapped to record this podcast with DrunkenGamer each week, a man that makes so many weird noises in his everyday life that he gives ‘Splosion Man a run for his money on the strangeness league.
But enough about the various mental states of its hosts, you want to know what you can expect out of this weeks show. (more…)

Another week has passed which means that DrunkenGamer & Gow have got together and recorded another episode of the Drinky Talky Thingy.
This weeks show may be a little different to the one you heard last week in more than just stories, Drunkengamer took the opportunity to try some new things on the show. Some changes worked, others did not but at least they were tried and can move on. (more…)

Now all of our readers will know that each month the DrunkenGamer writes some interesting things for us here at T1. From creating some impressive Drinking games for us, sharing his opinions on some of the latest games and even giving his take on some of the month key news stories.
However the magazine is not the only place he lets his opinions be known, for the last year he has also been sharing his take on the gaming world in podcast form.
Each week with the assistance of his friends, including other members of the T1 team both current and past, he does what he does best – drinking and talking games. The only thing that makes this different to any other occasion is that he records the resulting banter.
Now you may be asking why this is the first you have heard of it if he has been recording it for a year already? Well there is a simple reason for that, we left it up to him to make the posts and after a few beers he does get rather forgetful. Yeah we probably should not have done that. (more…)

If there is one thing about MMO’s that makes them fun to play, it’s the hours of gameplay they provide you. However, from a reviewer standpoint, that is also a pain of a problem.
While I would love to have high level characters on all of the major MMO’s, there are just not enough hours in the day. So when I hear about new additions to titles, it can be a little frustrating not to be able to jump right in and give it some hands-on coverage.
One such example of this is Aion. As much as I loved playing this game during its Beta and after launch, time and other content slowly ate up my time. Too many damn good games! As a result I only ever made it to level 26ish on the live servers.
So when NCSoft released the Assault on Balaurea expansion in September, I was very interested in the new instances and high level content that was added, and put in a solid effort to get caught up.
Thankfully though, it seems the NCSoft Community Managers are well aware of this issue and invited me & several other members of the gaming press to a run of the expansion’s multi-group 12 man instance, the “Abyssal Splinter”, on a test server.

This month sees T1 dabble in the shady lie of crime, as 2K Games’ gangster sequel Mafia II dominates the front cover. Does the series’ next-gen debut outing deserve your respect? Or should it be cast aside and left sleeping with the fishes?
The heist and gun play fun doesn’t stop there either, with Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days bursting onto the scene in a bid to right the wrongs of the original. They’re actually looking pretty good for a couple of dead men..
And if that isn’t enough run-and-gun fun for you, the frenetic action continues with a special preview of Natural Selection 2, an epic upcoming FPS from Unknown Worlds Entertainment, as well as a review of MMO-shooter Global Agenda, which was recently released in the UK and has adopted the growingly popular free-to-play model. Guns, explosions, crimes and robots…it doesn’t get much better than this! (more…)

The 100% free-to-read August issue of Thirteen1 is available now, featuring more reviews, previews and original features than you can shake a C.O.G Lancer’s chainsaw at!
Click here and read it now!
Perhaps unsurprisingly, August’s cover star is StarCraft II, the sequel to Blizzard’s genre-defining RTS, which has finally burst onto the scene after 12 years of agonising anticipation. But does T1’s self-confessed fan-boy think it was worth the wait? And just what did he get up to at the midnight launch event in London? You’ll find the answer to both right here in the latest issue.
The upcoming Nintendo 3DS is the talk of gaming-town right now, so Thirteen1 decided it was high time to get hands-on with the device themselves. The DrunkenGamer brings you his honest report of just how effective the handheld console is, as well as his take on some of the games you can expect to play on it. All in mind-boggling 3D!
He also got the chance to look at some of the titles shaping the Wii’s future, including Metroid Prime: Other M, Donkey Kong Country Returns, GoldenEye 007, Kirby’s Epic Yarn, and more. So much gaming goodness..and T1’s got it all covered for you.
In fact, this month’s issue of Thirteen1 is packed with reviews and previews, from Frima’s surprisingly polished PSN title, Young Thor, to a hands-on with FunCom’s latest MOBA (that’s Massive Online Battle Arena, if you didn’t know), Bloodline Champions, and a full tilt look at Youda Games fascinating casual poker game sequel, Governor of Poker II. It’s poker ‘and’ a proper game!

Normally browser based MMO’s get tragically overlooked, but they really shouldn’t. They have one strength over full MMO’s in that they can be played anywhere you can get an internet connection. And that’s a hell of a strength.
Castle of Heroes, a hugely popular free-to-play game published by the guys at gPotato, puts you in the place of a group of heroes caught up in the war between four playable races. By taking on the enemies that roam the lands, you gain experience and items to enhance both your army and Castle. (more…)

The South African fun is over, and unless you’re lucky enough to be Spanish (or don’t care about football), you’ll undoubtedly be nursing some kind of World Cup hurt..
Luckily, as always, gaming is here to act as a shining light in the darkest of times, and the 100% free-to-read July issue of Thirteen1 magazine is now available, covering all of the month’s top gaming releases.
There really is little reason to be down with all of this finger-bashing fun to be had.
The much anticipated Crackdown 2 has finally jumped onto the scene, and right onto the front cover of Thirteen1, probably leaping over a massive skyscraper while firing a rocket launcher in mid-air to get there. Does it live up to expectations? Check out T1’s extensive review of all things super-powered to find out.
EA have fittingly released FIFA Online just in time for everyone to right their personal international wrongs, so T1 has jumped straight in there to cover it with a beta hands-on. Will it prove as popular as it’s console counterpart?
The DrunkenGamer has had a great time flying around Cataclysm, the latest mind-blowing expansion for Blizzard’s World of WarCraft, and wishes you was there so much that he’s put together a brand new feature, Wish You Were Here, showing you all of the best areas before it’s released.
