SSX Getting True Multiplayer?

1313565684_ssx2012 A new trailer has surfaced from EA Sports hinting at a proper multiplayer component for the excellent SSX.

SSX launched in March with a leaderboard based multiplayer, which let you race against the ghosts of other players in a bid to beat their time/tricky scores on various courses. However, there was no proper player-versus-player component, or any split-screen functionality, which peeved a few people off.

The new, hardly informative, SSX trailer shows a character waiting in the usual helicopter at the start of a track. Only this time, the text “Heat will start when two or more riders are ready” is displayed at the top.

Gamers Believe FIFA 12 Improves Real World Footy Skills.

The FIFA Interactive World Cup (FIWC), the virtual football tournament loved by football fans across the globe, has surpassed one million players participating in the annual tournament. Following the first ever FIWC in 2004, the tournament has grown significantly and in 2011 secured its place in the Guinness World Records as the largest online gaming tournament in the world. This year’s FIWC has already attracted over 130,000 more players than last year’s event, tipping it over the 1 million player mark for the first time in the tournament’s history.

As part of the celebrations, FIFA has surveyed more than 10,000 registered players in the tournament throughout the world, and discovered that gamers believe the virtual skills learnt playing EA SPORTS FIFA 12 on PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system may even translate onto the real pitch. According to the survey, an astonishing 58% of players believe that the hours they spend playing in the tournament will actually improve their football skills and make them better football players in real life. FIFA 12 Demo Released

fifa12_logo The highly anticipated Football game, FIFA 12 from EA Sports, is now out in a demo format for Playstation, X-Box 360 and PC.

Released yesterday on X-Box Live Marketplace, the demo weighs in at 1.42 GB and is taking some users considerable times to download, due to it’s popularity. It even crashed the Live network yesterday.

Director of Architecture for Xbox Live Operations Eric Neustadter apologised for this on Twitter saying: ‘Xbox.com is having issues at the moment. It’s being worked on – sorry for the hassle, folks.’

EA Sports Season Ticket Launched Today

Released for the X-Box 360, the benefits will start with the release of Madden NFL 12 this month. FIFA, Tiger Woods PGA Tour and NHL Hockey franchises will all take advantage of the new Season Ticket.
