The game is finally out after months of extensive beta testing and is now revealing its full list of features, including the Street Fight clan system. The massive content update introduced more game modes, four new maps, new weapons and the in-game cash shop.

The new maps are, Shanty Town on the Boss Game Mode, Haven on the Bomb Game Mode, Downtown on Bomb Game Mode and The Slums on Night Bomb Game Mode. With other updates including two new primary weapons, the AWM 300 high-destruction sniper rifle and the lightweight VZ Twin SMG. In addition to the new weapons, two new silencers, two new sights and a new flashlight have been added to round out the already vast gun customisation.

The update also introduces the new in-game cash shop featuring more than 20 items including new costume sets like, the Rider’s Leather outfit for Gangsters and the GICN set for SWAT. You can also now purchase brand new Avatars like, Mr. Mad for Gangsters and Jin for SWAT.

“This update is a testament to our global team’s dedication to making District 187: Sin Streets the most robust, original and fun shooter on the market,” said Jon-Enée Merriex, Producer, CJ Games Global. “Whether players have just started playing PC games or are old farts like me, there is something for everyone to love in this game!”

A unique time travel feature allows the dark fantasy world to intersect with real ancient history and lets players fight alongside legendary heroes. EA have announced that The Old Republic now has less than 1million subscribers. At launch in December 2011, the game had 1.7million, though this fell to 1.3million by February 2012.

In an effort to combat the problems, EA have said that in November, the game will be free-to-play up to the current level cap of 50, though some end-game content will be locked to non-subscribers. F2P players will have the option to purchase items, without the need for a subscription.

I’m sure we’ve all been there; bored, 20 minutes before you have anything to do. 20 minutes is a really frustrating amount of free time, just long enough to get into something and feel annoyed that you have to leave it, and just too long to sit around doing nothing. Well, it seems Games Masters heard the cries of students between lectures everywhere, because here comes Navy Moves.

Choosing to style itself after the distilled essence of the 80’s action movie (right down to vodka-swilling Russians selling nuclear subs and charming red phones), Navy Moves’ core consists of a series of “scenes”, each tailored towards the feeling of being in a retro arcade. It’s a feel it nails perfectly, each scene delivering a splash of gameplay simple enough to pick up almost instantly, deep enough to remain engaging and fun for the duration; and with the modern twist of giving you a persistent rank to give incentive to drive up your all-important hi-score.

It also doesn’t hurt that each scene keeps a distinct flavour from its neighbours in either gameplay or presentation either; Navy Moves is one of the most consistently fresh feeling online games we’ve played. The premise of being part of an action movie is also embraced very firmly, with each scene directly tying into the narrative and awarding you the next chunk of film upon completion.

Speaking to Videogamer.com, CEO Cevat Yerli said that the growing “DLC and premium services” model is “milking customers to death”.

The transition will come once the developer has completed its current contracts for traditional boxed products.

“As we were developing console games we knew, very clearly, that the future is online and free-to-play,” Yerli stated.

“Right now we are in the transitional phase of our company, transitioning from packaged goods games into an entirely free-to-play experience.”

“What this entails is that our future, all the new games that we’re working on, as well new projects, new platforms and technologies, are designed around free-to-play and online, with the highest quality development.”

Crytek’s first F2P FPS will be the previously announced Warface.
