Wednesday, November 30th, 2011

elder-scrolls-5-skyrim-trailer-screenshot-dragon-fight Following crippling lag problems encountered by numerous players with large save games, Bethesda released a PS3 Skyrim patch on Monday in part designed to improve the “occasional performance issues resulting from long term play”.

Having previously complained at length about the problem, ex-Official PlayStation Magazine editor Tim Clark was initially delighted with the patch, which seemed to offer a vast improvement to gameplay.

However, it wasn’t long before his game started to resemble a Nordic slideshow once more, and he now says he’d again struggle to recommend the PS3 version of the RPG stunner in its current state. (more…)

Patchwork! Just In Time For Easter

Thursday, April 21st, 2011

mythos_amaray_packshot3d_en Comprehensive Update to Open Beta Brings Raft of New Features

Just in time for the long Easter weekend, the latest feature packed patch for Mythos has arrived. With only a few days of the open beta left before the game is released next week, the update includes many new features for players to get egg-cited about!

Besides a comprehensive localisation update and revised guild features the level cap was also increased from 27 to 50 which means that for the first time players can now enter the third region, ‘Umbral Peaks’ and face the many new quests and challenges the snowy region introduces.

No, that shriek you hear in the distance is not the gleeful sound of children discovering hidden eggs, it’s the sound of Uld’s monsters crying out in fear as they realize the odds just got tipped in players’ favour!

With the newly refined guild features, dungeons are now better designed for team play meaning that maybe, just maybe, you might emerge from the darkness victorious. But that’s not all, the guild member list and rights system have been completely revised along with a raft of new features including a guild message board, safe, rankings and the possibility to acquire buffs for the whole team.

crm_shop_eggniter Make sure you login to Bloodline Champions and celebrate Easter with Funcom, you’ll receive a free Easter themed outfit.

If you were too intimidated by the quite sinister appearance of the Igniter, don’t worry! Funcom have got this covered, all you need to do is login to Bloodline Champions over the Easter period, and you can claim your free outfit and play as an Egg… Yes! That’s right an Egg, the ‘Eggniter’ outfit is free to everyone that logs in from the 20th – 25th.

After being beaten on by a Christmas Tree thorn Funcom really outdid themselves with this one, I don’t think there’s anything more comical than throwing fireballs across the arena as an Egg.
