ws_hitman-_absolution_2560x1600 The next Hitman game will be out on November 20 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, Square Enix said today in a press release.

There’s also a preorder-exclusive bonus called Hitman: Sniper Challenge, available only if you preorder the game at a GameStop.

Here’s what Square Enix has to say about it:

Developed by IO Interactive A/S, a Square Enix studio, Hitman: Sniper Challenge is not part of the main game, but a stand-alone experience to reward fans who pre-order Hitman: Absolution. Players can don the suit of Agent 47 as he takes on an exclusive assassination assignment. (more…)

Facebook Game Celebrates 1 million Organic Users in just 10 Weeks

rollercoaster-mania-logo A new Facebook game which allows users to build and manage their own theme park is proving very popular, organically gaining 1 million users in the 10 short weeks since its launch.

Amusement park sim game ‘Rollercoaster Mania’ from Noisy Duck has proved to be a hit on Facebook, gaining 1.2 million users organically in just over 10 weeks and the number of users continuing to rise by around 35,000 users a day.

End of Nations Shines Light on the Shadow Revolution in New Faction Trailer

Trion Worlds today released the latest gameplay trailer for massively multiplayer online real-time strategy (MMORTS) game, End of Nations, the upcoming ground-breaking free-to-play PC title. The new trailer highlights the villainous Shadow Revolution, one of two playable factions in the fast-paced strategy title.

1280x1024 The Shadow Revolution, whose core values are order, security, and control is comprised of two distinct classes that help players shape their role in the massive battle for global domination. The first is the hit-and-run Wraith Class, which specializes in light and quick vehicles such as APCs and chopper units with high speed and long range output. The second is the Phantom Class whose specialty is stealth and hard-hitting tanks plus infantry units that excel in attack, power and mobility. (more…)

Independent developer NeocoreGames today announced the entry of a brand-new IP entitled The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, an Action RPG filled with fierce and demonic battles, memorable characters, and a refreshingly unique story that brings the legendary vampire slayer to modern audiences. The upcoming title, loosely based on Bram Stoker’s classic novel Dracula, is being developed for PC and Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.

Minecraft Arrives on Xbox360

minecraft_weather The day that so many Xbox 360 players have been waiting for has arrived. Yes, Minecraft is now available on Microsoft’s console from now on and forever (well, probably).

The world’s most famous sandbox crafter has been a hit with the PC and mobile versions so it’s hard to see how it won’t be on the console.

Available for 1600 MSP, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is essentially no different to the PC version except it misses out on the many texture packs and modding support. (more…)

Diablo III: Wrath

diablo-3-announcement1 Diablo 3 fans have finally performed enough of the official site-related marketing gubbins Blizzard wanted to release the much-teased short film, Diablo 3: Wrath.

Wrath is the work of Blizzard and Aeon Flux creator Peter Chung, and apparently offers a “unique vision of a fundamental moment in the battle between the High Heavens and the Burning Hells.”

Diablo 3 will finally launch on May 15, and the developer recently confirmed that Diablo 3’s servers will be region free, allowing players to create alliances with no borders – sort of. (more…)

Could Black Ops II’s Setting Land Activision In Legal Trouble?

black-ops-2-official-logo-595x364 Treyarch’s Black Ops II marks the series’ first move into the future, but it also raises questions about the ongoing relationship between Activision and Infinity Ward. Over two years ago, details regarding the lawsuit began to appear publicly.
One such detail stated that Call of Duty titles set after Vietnam would be exclusive to Infinity Ward. We recently obtained some court documents (which you can see below), and it appears that this clause was indeed included in Infinity Ward’s Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). (more…)

coh2 THQ announced that a sequel to its critically acclaimed strategy game, Company of Heroes is scheduled to be taking gamers to the frozen frontlines of war in Russia in early 2013.

As a true sequel this game moves the battle away from the common Western Front focus of World War II and refocuses on some of history’s most brutal and devastating conflicts on the Eastern Front, challenging players to take command of the iconic Red Army and repel the Nazi invaders from the very gates of Moscow.
