2K Games Announces Spec Ops: The Line Playable Demo Now Available

2K Games today announced that a free playable* demo of the highly anticipated third-person military shooter, Spec Ops: The Line, is now available for gamers who are Gold members on the Xbox LIVE online entertainment network and on the PlayStation Network for PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system. The demo will become available for all Xbox LIVE members on May 15, 2012.

Could Black Ops II’s Setting Land Activision In Legal Trouble?

black-ops-2-official-logo-595x364 Treyarch’s Black Ops II marks the series’ first move into the future, but it also raises questions about the ongoing relationship between Activision and Infinity Ward. Over two years ago, details regarding the lawsuit began to appear publicly.
One such detail stated that Call of Duty titles set after Vietnam would be exclusive to Infinity Ward. We recently obtained some court documents (which you can see below), and it appears that this clause was indeed included in Infinity Ward’s Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). (more…)

Max Payne 3: Multiplayer Gameplay Part Two

att00002 Max Payne 3 multiplayer incorporates the Max Payne series’ famed gritty storytelling and intense gunplay into an epic online experience for up to 16 players.

Multiplayer Gameplay Part Two focuses on Gang Wars, which uses events from the single-player game as narrative starting points for matches with a dynamically shifting storyline based on the outcomes of each round; and some of the features that allow players to form grudges and alliances, such as Vendettas and the ability to join Crews; and Max Payne 3’s range of multiplayer special abilities called Bursts, including Bullet Time.

Black Ops 2 Trailer Released, First Gameplay Footage

Activision has released the premiere trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and you can watch it below.

Activision’s prematurely-launched official Black Ops 2 site had already confirmed the game’s November 13 release date for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, as well as its near future, 21st Century Cold War setting.

Sega Cancels Bayonetta 2

bayonetta_by_molybdenumgp03 Sega has cancelled development on Bayonetta 2, according to a new report.

A source told Spong that Sega halted development on the Platinum-created sequel following an internal restructure.
Apparently the game included a new character, someone who was a member of the US military.
Last month Sega announced a number of games had been cancelled, but didn’t specify which ones. Was Bayonetta 2, which has never been announced, one of them? Sega declined to comment on the story.

CCP: Eve Online FanFest Attendees Will be First to Join Dust 514 Beta

Those who attended the Eve Online FanFest event in Reykjavik, Iceland in March will be the first invited to participate in the Dust 514 beta, CCP Games has confirmed.

There had been confusion over the status of the closed beta, which is currently running, with some Eve Online fans complaining about apparent preferential treatment to PlayStation Network users.
