Mass Effect 3 Gets Stunning CGI Trailer

22252 BioWare’s released its full ‘Take Earth Back’ trailer for Mass Effect 3

The CGI trailer aired in full on US TV last nigjht, during an episode of The Walking Dead.

As you can see, the video features an all-out attack on Earth by the ancient alien race known as the Reapers. A Mass Effect 3 demo launched last week, covering this section of the game.

Dead Island Co-Op Trailer Released

dead-island Deep Silver’s zombie survival game, Dead Island, continues to build up steam as more details emerge about the title. Today they announced a four-player co-op mode.

Only teamwork can get the four different protagonists of Dead Island through the seemingly insurmountable odds and dangers that await them on the zombie infested tropical island of Banoi.

Their different skill sets complement each other and give them the ability to oppose the hordes of zombies that await them around every corner of the former holiday paradise.

Online Action RPG Path of Exile Announces Closed Beta Plans

59aee361fa After four years of development, the indie studio Grinding Gear Games has announced that their online action RPG, Path of Exile, will enter ‘closed beta’ on August 10th.

They have also unveiled plans for a range of Player vs. Player combat options designed to encourage a competitive online playing field.

The closed beta will randomly invite people who have registered on their website periodically, in order to stress test the servers. The beta client will arrive with two acts of gameplay and five of the six character classes.

TERA Release Schedule Announced

Development and production continues to both add new features as well as refine confirmed elements to deliver an innovative, action packed experience set in a visually stunning world that can only be discovered in TERA.

The Lord of the Rings: War in the North launches in the UK in November

osgiliathwall_1280x1024 The original title from Snowblind Studios, The Lord of the Rings: War in the North will hit UK shelves in November, according to a press release from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

The much-anticipated title will be released on PlayStation 3, X-Box 360 and Games for Windows, featuring a different viewpoint from the much-revered The Lord of the Rings trilogy of books.

The Lord of the Rings: War in the North, transports players to unknown lands, as yet unexplored in film, as they journey to the Northern lands of Middle-earth. Intertwining the characters and storyline of the novel and films, the game takes place in parallel with the well-known Ring Bearer’s quest.

Diablo 3 Auction House Uses Real World Money

diablo-3-announcement1 The bombshell that was dropped in the most recent Diablo 3 press event is that the Auction House will both use in-game money and real world money.

Many of you that play World of Warcraft are aware of the Auction House and how it works; you place items on there at a certain value and hope to turn a profit. The profit has only ever been for your character in game, until now.

With the new system, you may be able to make a profit with your own money.

The Auction House will be split into a real-money and gold-based auction houses allowing players to decide on a per item basis which currency they will use.

Ragnarok Online Moving to the iPad/iPhone

Gravity Interactive’s most famous and very popular MMORPG is being released as a single-player iPhone/iPad application which can be found on the Apple’s App Store on August 5, 2011.  The game will be available and free to download from the Apple’s App Store.
