Imports of Xbox 360 hardware to the US could be blocked following a legal victory for Motorola.
The BBC reports that a US International Trade Commission judge has ruled in favour of the firm, ruling that Microsoft has infringed four patents owned by Motorola Mobility relating to video compression and Wi-Fi connectivity.
A full review of the case will be held in August and should that also go against Microsoft the company could theoretically be forced to halt Xbox 360 imports to the US.
Microsoft has previously confessed that should it agree to all of Motorola’s demands it would face an annual bill of £2.5bn – a figure its rival disputes. (more…)

Whoever said diamonds are a girl’s best friends obviously has never met Juliet Starling’s sisters in Lollipop Chainsaw.
Juliet’s big sis, Cordelia, is an expert zombie hunter and never leaves home without her trusty sniper rifle – the perfect tool for picking off the undead at long range.
The baby Starling of the family, Rosalind, might only be 16, but that doesn’t mean she can’t slay zombies, too!

CallofDuty.com has gone live with a countdown pointing to a “World Reveal” on May 1st.
This, of course, will be the first official details of the next Call of Duty game, due out more likely than not this November.
All we know for certain is that the world-first glimpse of the game will take place during the US basketball playoffs on cable channel TNT.
Beyond that the incredibly fuzzy image seen on the website seems to depict a figure similar to if not the same as the fellow who graced the cover of Call of Duty: Black Ops. (more…)

Microsoft is letting Xbox 360 owners access entertainment apps such as Netflix for free from tomorrow until April 23rd.
No Xbox Live Gold membership will be required during this time either – anyone with a 360 will be able to access all of the online service’s features.
As part of the ‘Entertainment Unlocked’ promotion, users will also be able to access movie, TV and video applications such as 4oD, Last.FM, LoveFilm, Sky, YouTube and Netflix.
The latter movie streaming service usually requires its own separate subscription of £5.99 per month. (more…)

Microsoft may be about to announce a Tuesday, November 6 release date for Halo 4.
“Reliable sources close to Microsoft” said that the launch date will be announced by Microsoft before noon Eastern Time (5pm UK) today.
Microsoft mouthpiece Major Nelson and 343 Industries senior producer Alison Stroll also both took to Twitter to tell followers to look out for “Halo 4 news” today, so don’t say you haven’t been given the heads-up.
Microsoft released a load of in-game Halo 4 screenshots earlier this month, showing off the title’s campaign, multiplayer and some fantastic looking Spartan armour. (more…)

Annual Call of Duty franchise sales are beginning to slow down, it’s been claimed.
Gamasutra reports that life-to-date sales of 2011’s entry, Modern Warfare 3 are behind where 2010’s Black Ops was at this time last year, despite the more recent release boasting a stronger debut.
While exact sales figures are not publicly known, analyst firm Macquarie Equities says that Modern Warfare 3 volume sales are behind by around 4.2%. (more…)

The wait for Max Payne 3 is nearly over, but for those of us who want it now or sooner, here is a new video to make you salivate!
Rockstar’s long awaited threequel to the first two Max Payne games is due to hit shop shelves next month for PS3 and Xbox, and at the start of June on PC.
While the first two games were set in New York, Max Payne 3 is to be set in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will be coming to the Xbox 360 and PS3 this September.
