Vive la Worms Revolution Collection!

dishonored-logo Bethesda have released a new gameplay trailer for Dishonored: The Knife of Dunwall, the second add-on pack for Arkane Studios’ critically-acclaimed first-person action game.

In The Knife of Dunwall you take on the role of Daud, the legendary assassin who killed the Empress, and access his weapons, gadgets, allies and supernatural abilities. After assassinating the Empress, and forever changing the fate of Dunwall, you embark on a search for redemption.

Injustice Demo Launches April 3rd. See Batman Kick the Ass of The Flash Now

injustice_wiiu_packshot_eng_jpg_jpgcopy_0 Warner Bros and DC Entertainment today announced that a free demo for the upcoming DC Comics fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us will be available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation3.

Fans can find the demo from April 3rd on the PlayStationNetwork and Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

The Injustice: Gods Among Us demo features Batman, Wonder Woman and Lex Luthor – three playable characters pulled from the game’s robust DC Comics roster. Set in the Gotham City arena, fans can get a taste of the included characters’ unique super powers and individual move-sets as they destroy elements of the world and fight through the multi-tiered arena.

Warner Bros and DC Entertainment have also revealed the two iconic characters headed to the ultimate finals of the Injustice Battle Arena. The semi-final rounds kicked off last week, advancing legendary powerhouse characters to the final showdown. (more…)

Saint’s Row IV Announced

sr-3 Saint’s Row IV, amusingly tag-lined “From the Crack House to the White House” has been revealed to be “starting a party in your pants this August”.

Very specifically, August 20th for America and the 23rd for Europe. The teaser trailer and the press release both reveal quite an interesting new take on the popular, open-world franchise. The game is a development on planned stand-alone expansion, “Enter the Dominatrix”, which was scrapped and has now been turned into a full scale game. (more…)

Borderlands 2 – Mechromancer Released Today

borderlands-2-mechromancer Landing a week earlier than expected, Gaige the Mechromancer today joins the Borderlands fight to free Pandora from the Hyperion Corporation and its evil leader, Handsome Jack.

The new DLC is free to all who pre-ordered Boderlands 2, or can be purchased for £7.99 / 800 Microsoft points. The Mechromancer was originally supposed to be released on the 16th, but apparently she just couldn’t wait that long to jump in and kick some Hyperion butt.

Gaige is equipped with the power to summon an awesome looking robot called D374-TP (Deathtrap), which can can be equipped with several upgrades through Gaige’s skill trees.
Gaige has three skill trees, just like the other vault hunters. The first gives support and buffs herself, deathtrap and other players around her, while the second one focuses on afflicting status effects and dealing a lot of damage quickly.

Halo 4 – A New Age of Combat Evolved

halo4_symbol_onblack_rgb Halo 4 will be created by 343 Industries instead of Bungie and the story will be set four years after the end of the war with the covenant.

Master Chief is back along with his trusty AI Cortana, after drifting in space after the events of Halo 3, they find themselves near the wreckage of the UNSC frigate Forward Unto Dawn.

343 Industries has stated that it wants to move away from Halo being solely a shooting based game and wants to focus more on exploration and adventure. They also said that the game will be grand in scope and scale and it will detail how humanity and UNSC has adapted after the war, as well as focusing heavily on the ancient race of Forerunners. This is set to be shown over a trilogy of games, the second one they claim will have a very dark very dark plot line.

Set on the deadly and mysterious Forerunner planet Requiem, Master Chief and his companion Cortana (whose AI is damaged over time and becomes rampant) must search to find out the secrets lost in time and space.

Death’s Apprentice makes its way to consoles

9115397_orig Indie developer BGG Productions , in collaboration with BioGamer girl, have announced that their hit PC title, Death’s Apprentice, will be available on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and the Wii U in early 2013.

Death has gone missing and the rules of death no longer apply. With no fear of dying, the world has turned to chaos – even mother nature is taking advantage, ruling over rural cities with all manner of creatures. But all is not lost. Death had been training an apprentice before his disappearance, and as his apprentice it is your job to find out what happened to your master while restoring balance and order to the world.

Microsoft Respond to Polytron in Fez Debacle

xbox-live-logo Last week Polytron, developers of the XBLA exclusive game Fez stated that they would not be fixing a game-breaking bug in the game, due to the extortionate costs patching would entail.

Here are the important excerpts from the statement they released:
“We’re bringing the first FEZ patch online. It’s the same patch. We’re not going to patch the patch. Why not? Because microsoft would charge us tens of thousands of dollars to re-certify the game.

And because as it turns out, the save file delete bug only happens to less than a percent of players. It’s a shitty numbers game to be playing for sure, but as a small independent, paying so much money for patches makes NO SENSE AT ALL. especially when you consider the alternative.”
